FAMILY DAY UPDATE - AS OF APRIL 1, 2004 GOLDEN WINGS RETIREE CLUB OCTOBER 9th, 2004
Aircraft Static Displays - Still working
Refreshments - One food "package" per attendee; one hot dog or one hamburger, bag of chips, ice cream and beverage.
Department Displays - Booths will be set up in production hangar. Many Sikorsky departments plus Archives, Unions, Sikorsky Club, AHS, etc. are planning booths. Golden Wings will have a booth where cards, etc., can be made available.
Children's Activities - Considering face painting, photos, clowns and balloons upon departure.
Security - Retirees will require ID Cards and Parking Passes (one of each per car to enter). (NO YELLOW BADGES WILL BE HONORED). Parking passes and tickets(?) to be mailed out prior to the event based on responses from retirees. The invitation to attend is to retirees and their immediate families and the immediate family members must be accompanied by the retiree (sorry, this invitation can't be extended to surviving family members of deceased retirees).
Times - Stratford facility will be open from 10:00 to 3:00. Outlying facilities from 8:00 to 10:00. Time windows for attendance will be specified when parking passes and tickets are mailed to the individuals indicating a desire to attend.
Access - Access to the Stratford facility will be through the Dairy Queen and Medical entrance gates. Once inside, a prescribed path through the manufacturing area will be available. No access to office areas or laboratories will be permitted.
Announcement - An announcement letter to employees is planned for early August. Employees will pick up their tickets and parking passes in the cafeteria. Letter to retirees needs to be out far enough in advance to permit mailing, receiving a response and mailing out the tickets and parking passes.
