Gary is a Certified Financial PlannerTM practitioner with his own firm in the Tampa Bay area. This has been his career for the last quarter century. He works with retirees, professionals and successful business owners. Prior to entering the financial planning profession, Gary worked as director of admissions for Bard College (N.Y.), Carroll College (Wis.) and Eckerd College (Fla.). Gary earned his BA from UCC and his masters from SUNY Albany and did further graduate work in business and economics at the University of South Florida. Gary is married to Shirley (Pereira) who is originally from Malaysia. Gary and Shirley are the proud owners of Margy, a Great Dane mix mutt. After 16 years of working for dynamic theme foodservice companies (Houlihan's, Penrod's,…), 7 years of independent operations and design consulting (DeMuth & Associates) and 3 years managing the centerpiece restaurant in the world's largest resort/casino (Foxwood's Pequot Grill), the people in the relaxed town of Dexter, Maine consider Rich semi-retired. But, he owns, manages and renovates commercial historic property and contributes to the community through Kiwanis, just to keep himself busy. Mark is married to his WCC sweetheart Lysee (Backer) Kierstein and they have a daughter Resa who lives in the Washington DC area. They have lived in Yorktown Heights, NY for the past fifteen years. Mark graduated from UCC with a business degree and has worked in the high tech field since graduation. He is currently a director with a national consulting organization managing their Northeast practice.
