Altered Zaccariello. Disseminated with a middle frequency in Campania, it has at the basis, a nickname or name formed from the Neapolitan zaccaro " “boy” or child.
Beginning from the end of 1500 and during all the 1600, the name Giacco is preceded by “de” (de Giacco).
Cola (Nicholas) de Giaccho and Laura (di Balsamo) were married between 1582-1583.
Nicholas was born close to 1557 and died probably around 44 years of age in 1601, because in baptizing the last son, that son, was given the name of Nicholas after his father.

Agostino de Giacco married Luisa Russo approximately 1620-21 possibly in the Church of Saint Mark, because in the parochial registries of Saint Maria D' Ajello and Saint George, there does not show a such wedding; and it is impossible to verify in the registries of Saint Mark because that registry shows nothing. It is a process of elimination.

Agostino de Giacco married Victoria (Gerardo) (now Celardo) on the 11th of January 1633.
Augustino was the widower of Luisa Russo. His father, Nicholas de Giacco and mother Laura (di Balsamo) de Giacco was born on 8 April 1594. He died on the 10th of May 1647 and was buried in the Church Saint Maria D' Ajello.
Victoria was born on 13 January 1604.

Gennaro was born 31 December 1694 and died 6 August 1756 and was buried in the Congregation of the Purgatorio. He was the son of Francesco Antonio and Teresa della Vecchia.
Giovanna di Vito was born 6 October 1692. and died 31 March 1764 and was buried in the Congregation of the Purgatorio. She was the daughter of Vito and of Angela Tontaro.

Andrea Giacco married Livia " Camilla " (Casillos) on 04 December 1749 in the church of Saint Mark.
Andrea di Gennaro was born 31 December 1723. He was a farmer. He died 11 March 1809 at the age of 86 and was buried in the Church of Congregation of the Purgatorio to which he belonged. He lived in Case Nine, today known as Via Francisco Caracciolo. He was the son of Gennaro and of Giovanna Capasso.
Livia di Gioacchino was born 29 June 1724 and baptized in the church of Saint Mark of and was a woman of means, probably a land owner. She died 19 February 1784 in the house of the husband at age 70 and was buried in the Congregation of the Purgatorio " in which she was a sister”. She was the daughter of Giacchino and of Laura Vasaturo.

Francisco Vincenzo Giacco married Laura (Castaldo) on 27 May 1778 in the Church of Saint George.
Francisco Vincenzo was born on 1 August 1757 . He died April 1843 at the age of 90. He was a farmer. He was the son of Andrea and of Camilla Casillo.
After his first marriage with Laura, he then married Maria Vincenza Perone, daughter of daughter Francisco and Moccia Maddalena on 1 July 1837 and lived in Via Pigna.
Laura Fortunata was born on 15 March 1755. She was the daughter of Francesco and of Veneranda delle Fontane.

Camillo Salvatore born 21 February 1784and died 14 March 1862 at the age of 77. She was a land owner and lived in via Pigna. He was the son of Francesco and of Laura Castaldo.
Serafina Maria was born 9 September 1784and was a land owner and her father was a farmer. She died 9 May 1867 at the age of 84 and lived in via Pigna: She was the daughter of Lorenzo and of Raffaela Fusco.
Giuseppe Andrea Giacco married Angela Rosa (Moccia) 18 December 1832.
Giuseppe Andrea di Camillo born 04 April 1808, was a land owner and lived in Via Pigna. He died 14 March 1870. His was the son of Camillo and of Serafina Maria Ciampa.
Angela Rosa a land owner, was born 3 July 1811and lived in Via Pigna. She died 25 March 1852 at the age of 41. She was a land owner. She was the daughter of Lorenzo and of Raffaela Fusco.
